Riku Street

Riku Street is mostly covered by big trees with a little sunlight peaking through it is a nice little street with not alot of people near the end of the street there is a store called "Varo's Market" This is where Horusho works. Now Riku street is just a cobble stone street with small buisness lined up side-by-side on each side of the street there are store listings from Accessory Emporium---Zebra Styles. A very nice street with an almost below 0 crime rate, Only problem is there are no condo's, apartments, or even house on this street. Although there is a nice neighborhood 2 blocks down which is very peaceful and not that expensive. Just another 2 blocks down is a road that has a few apartments though they seem to be very poor they are there and have been for quite some time. There is one small condominium on Riku street, this condo has 3 rooms which 1 is currently being rented out by a very strange man that seems to either never be home or is always home and never leaves. One of the rooms are empty and the other is rented out to Horusho who almost never stays there because there is not much to do.

Horusho is a Senior at a local high-school and in the middle of the school year. He attends class 73% of the time the other times he will walk around Riku street and just visit the stores that are lined there. When he is not in school he usually will work at Varo's Market where he can work any time he wants as long as he gets enough hours in, With all the time he has he gets more than enough hours in. Although he very rarely does it for money and just for something to do.

Horusho walks out of a store called "Mystic & Sorrow" One of the many store's he has yet to thoroughly look through and decide exactly what it is that they sell. Though after being in it he still has no clue. Horusho walks out of the store with a confused look on his face and begins to walk up the street to Varo's Market. When Horusho arrives one of the many people he sees every day, who are usually the same people who always wonder the streets the same as Horusho does, greets him and Horusho nods as though he is returning the gesture and stops outside the store and sits on a bench.

Dark it was, the alley way that is. It was the most secluded place in the area, no one strayed in it and no one looked in it. A perfect place for one not to be seen.
A figure, large and lithe, seemed to swiftly make its way down one of these alley ways. A cat it was. Much larger, with talons and fangs. More frightening looking. Fur as black as the night and only if light was shone upon the fur you would see the darker spots in the fur. It was a panther, strange to see one such as this appear in a city. All who would see it may become frightened and panic.
why am i even here.... the panther thought to herself. This was none other Then Kirala, a panther hotaru that belonged to a decendant of Jeffy L. Ross and Benji Amarie, Kirala had been contianed in a zoo but escaped when the firefly attached to her, gaining her powers and ability to talkk through direct contact. amazing it was..the firefly, such a substance to be retrived from a planet it brought destruction on, to come here, bend the laws of nature, and change the lives of many.

Kira stalked up the alley way
i must be crazy, or obviously seriously curious.... she continued in her thought. each paw moving swiftly infornt of the other, where it landed on the pavement softly, with out making a sound.
She was now at the end of the alley way, turning her head from side to side, her amber eyes gazing ahead to spot for any humans. Letting out a low growl seeing some humans wonder the streets along with a man sitting on a bench,, she backed away to conceal herself in the shadows

Horusho goes to get up and walk into the store but feels compeled to sit back down. He then begins to feel a strange feeling as though some one is near him and feels as though he should walk across the street into the alley inbetween two stores. Horusho tries to shake this feeling and thinks about trying to go into the store again but is stopped by the same feeling yet again.
Horusho finally decides to check out the ally that way he can be sure that nothing is there even though he didn't think there was anyway because of the street he was on. Even though Varo's Market is practically at the end of the street.

He gets up and walks across the street while noticing a building is vacant and wonders what could have happened. He tries to remember what it was that was in that store before but with all the stores on the street he can't seem to think of the name.
Horusho finally gets across the street only to stop at a sign near the ally that was apparently a "For Sell" about the vacant building. He sees a bench next to the ally and decides to sit down even though the feeling is now a bit stronger. He tries to ignore it.

Kirala's tail twitched from side to side, sweeping the ground lightly as she hid in the shadows, only feeling a weak inpulse around her, as if hiden. Kirala was contempted to let out a growl but held herself back, as it would only draw attention to herself.

Kirala took another step back, the man sitting on the bench was closer to her, he gave off a odd feeling, one she never felt before, but it felt similar in a way. Kirala had surcumbed to her temptations and let of a low growl, unsure if anyone would hear it even though it grew in volume as she opened her mouth slightly, revealing the fragment of the Firefly attached to her upper gum on her front row of teeth. Her ears flattened back slightly as she now crept up, taking a footstep closer to the streets.

Horusho looks down the long street to the end that is furthest from him and notices that he can't see where the street ends. This surprises him a little because he never actually looked at how big the street was, he only knew that it contained lots of small buisness'.
Horusho continues to sit on the bench trying to think of what to do next and suddenly hears a low growl. This causes him to stand up, and he notices that the growl gets louder and he is tempted to look into the alley he was sitting next to.
When he looks in the alley just a bit by leaning over he sees what he thinks is a panther and quickly jumps back out of shock and trips causing him to fall to the ground still staring at the panther.

Horusho tries his hardest to scoot back away from the panther when he realizes it is no use an stops all together. Horusho lays there for a few seconds then props himself up on his hands and watches the panther trying to to make any sudden movements, because he is thinking that if he does he might frighten the panther causing it to attack.

Kirala's eyes watched the boy, he was frightened of her, just like the rest of them. She was nothing more then a animal to some, a creature to be frightened of, a creature to be feared, a creature that would attack.
Thoughts came to her head, what to do? how to make this boy calm down? would she just turn away and leave or stay? Kirala felt compelled to stay for some reason, mabey it was time to make her way around this earth and meet someone new besides Rebecca, who was with another host in the campgrounds she in a while ago. Kirala just decided to wonder around, like she always did.
Kirala haled her growling noise, as it did bring her attention to herself, but she still wasnt sure on what to do. Kira just plopped down on the cold hard cement, her front paws outstreched with her head resting in between them.

Horusho stays laying on the ground propped up on his hands still watching the panther waiting for it to make a move. he slowly tries to back up and then stops as the growling noise coming from the panther stops. He watches the panther closley as though it is trying to make a decision on what to do. So Horusho lies there watching the panther wondering if it is gonna make a move or if it is just a panther that is lost. Horusho highly doubts that there is a harmless panther in the city but tries to be calm and think positive.

Kira kept her head low, trying not to scare the boy, but something felt...odd, she felt drawn to him, in the way the firefly drew other hosts to eachother, but it was weak, did this person have the firefly within him? if he did, why were the impulses so weak...
Kiras tail stoped moving from side to side, laying on the ground flat, with no movement whatso ever. Kira's pericing amber eyes stared at the boy, but not in a way a predator would look upon her prey, but in a different way.
Kira's mucles relaxed as she observed the boy, waiting to see if he would run or not. Shifting her weight to the side she plopped over, laying on her side now.

Horusho watches the Panther and waits for it to makes it move and then gets a strange feeling that draws him closer to the panther. He slowly pushes him slef closer to the panther only a little. He then sees the panthers tail fall to the ground.
He notices that the look in the Panther's eyes is not threatening but curious. Horusho notices the panther get relaxed and then plop down onto it's side and lays there just staring at Horusho.

He sits up and now sitting there with his legs spread in front of him and his hand in the middle of his legs he tilts his head now watching the panther a slowly scoot himseld closer to what he guess is a girl panther.

Kirala decided enough was enough, the boy would remain frightened of her because of the type of animal she was. thus she did nothing.
Kirala soon arose to her feet, making a sharp turn as she let out a low but non hostile growl, almost seeming annoyed since she could never wonder to the city's thus held Rebecca back at time, slowly the large cat walked in the opposite direction of the boy, if he was curious he would walk after her, otherwise he would take the opportunity to leave

Horusho watches as the panther gets up and makes sharp turn away from him and begins to walk back threw the alley. For some reason Horusho felt compelled to follow the panther. Even though he wasn't sure why he felt as though something was drawing him to her and he couldn't get away. This feeling bugged Horusho but he tried to ignore it as he walked down the alley following the panther wondering where the panther was going, and why it was in the city in the first place. Horusho was now no longer as scared of the panther as he was when he was on the ground look up at the growling panther. Now he felt as though he wanted to follow the Panther out of his own will. Even though he knew he didn't really want to and that something was making him follow the panther. Although 50 percent of the urge to follow her was out of curiosity, 49 percent because of a strange feeling, and the last 1 percent was because he was curious as to wonder if the panther was wild and if there were more.

Kirala stoped in her tracks now looking behind her shoulder at the boy, her amber eyes seemed to peirce at his soul. So he felt the urges to? Kirala questioned, This boy must have become a new host, and the feelings and urges were still weak, he night have not even went through a change before, that would explain the weak aura he gave off, that would get stronger only through the change the firefly brought upon its host when ever in need.

Kirala never moved, if the boy would come to her and manage to touch her, she coul speak using the power obtaained from the firefly, the power to talk in any language the person spoke telepathicaly, so they may understan her. Then again, all would be to suspitious, and if the boy was unaware of the firefly, the trigger that sets off the change could be set off. and who knows what could happen, for all Kirala knew, the boy could dystroy the city and kill many.

Horusho continued to follow the panther when he noticed that the panther had stopped. Horusho felt it was safe enough to get closer to the panther. After he got close enough to the panther he began to have a wierd sensation as wierd as it may be he had a feeling that told him to pet the panther or at least touch it or from what he could tell was a her. Horusho decided to gently place his hand on top of the panthers head and slowly move his hand down her back. Suddenly Horusho has a very strange feeling and he feels a sharp pain on the back of his neck while his hand is half-way down the panthers back. Horusho then quickly pulls his hand back from the panthers back.
